Diabetes
Diabetes Mellitus is a condition which occurs when blood-glucose levels are too high because not enough insulin is produced or not at all.
Insulin is a hormone produced in the pancreas which helps the body absorb glucose from the blood. If none or very little insulin is produced too much glucose remains in the blood, and the tissues of the body may not receive enough glucose to function properly.
Symptoms of Diabetes include thirst and frequent urination, fatigue, weight loss, and recurrent infections. Eventually problems with vision and circulation might develop. If left untreated, very high sugar levels may lead to coma and death.
